Procedure that corrects or reconstructs deformities caused by injury, corrects inborn anomalies and improves the functionality, appearance and size of the nose. Each case is unique and the result adapts to the anatomy, objectives and specific needs of the patient.
Two techniques are used: open and closed. The open technique consists in an incision in the base of the nose that allows all the bone and cartilaginous components from the top to the tip of the nose, to be clearly visible and to be remodeled with precision. The scar usually becomes undetectable after 6 to 12 weeks. The closed technique is an incision inside the nose and is recommended when the back and/or bridge are/is the problem.
