How to Take Your After Surgery Photos at Home
Your after photos are how Dr. Valdez follows your healing and compares your result to the photos we took in the clinic. Follow these steps to take them at home.
Photos that match the ones we took in the clinic let Dr. Valdez see your true result. If something is off, we may ask for one more try.
Send your photos on WhatsApp to +52 998 845 1355, with your full name and surgery date.
- Someone else takes the photo, standing 5 feet away from you. Back camera, not selfie camera. Zoom in (2x) so your head and shoulders fill the picture, like the photos below.
- Stand in front of a plain wall. If you do not have a plain wall, use one of the backgrounds shown at the bottom of this page.
- Face a window. Sunlight on your face, not behind you.
- Hair back. No glasses. No heavy makeup.
- Camera at your eye level, pointing straight at you. Not raised, not tilted.
- Five angles, shown below. Take them in this order. Keep a neutral face in every photo. No smiling.

Please send all five so Dr. Valdez can compare every angle.
Send your photos on WhatsApp to +52 998 845 1355, with your full name and surgery date.
Your photos are seen only by Dr. Valdez and your patient coordinator and are never shared.
What not to do
Left is the photo we took in the clinic. Right is the photo the patient took at home.

Backgrounds you may not have thought of
You do not need a studio or a plain wall. A hedge, a fence, or the side of your house all work. Look for anything flat, plain, and in good light.
